Most health apps quietly ship your meals, weight and workouts to a server to make the AI work. Glimmer doesn't have that server. Here's the actual architecture, not just a promise.
The coach model runs on your Neural Engine
When you tell your coach what you ate, Apple's on-device foundation model parses it into food + macros directly on your iPhone's silicon. The request never touches a network socket.
Your log lives in Apple Health
Meals, weight, workouts and streaks are written straight to Apple Health on your iPhone. There is no Glimmer account server holding a copy — your data stays in the store Apple already secures on your device.
Airplane mode is a fair test
Turn off networking entirely and every core feature still works: logging meals with the coach, viewing rings and history, tracking workouts and streaks. If it needed the cloud, this wouldn't be possible.
Nothing to sell, nothing to breach
We don't run analytics on what you eat or how much you weigh, and we have no ad business to feed. There is no central database of health data to be hacked, subpoenaed, or sold.
Uninstall is the delete button
Delete the app and your data goes with it — because it was never anywhere else. No support ticket, no “request my data be removed” form.
